Amazon won’t let me cancel my seller account with them and they are stealthily charging a credit card of mine
Has anyone dealt with this? I haven’t sold on their platform since 2018, I have no active listings in the markets I have an ‘account’ in (mx & ca). I’ve attempted to cancel my accounts multiple times but they won’t let because there’s a balance. They continue to charge me whatever the professional membership fee is every month (over a 100 I think, but can’t recall) and my balance owed is extraordinary. As far as I remember, the international accounts were automatically opened when I opened/ran my US account. I made steady sales on the US account for a few years, but never used the mx or ca account. After neglect, my US account was suspended and that was that for me as an amazon seller. Never attempted to appeal, washed my hands of amazon after this.
All of this is shady enough, but they have a credit card of mine I haven’t shared with them (Chase Amazon Visa, so i’m presuming Chase gives the card info to Amazon) and have not given them permission to charge me, and every 24 hours they attempt to charge my credit card random amounts. $7, $20, $42. What’s weirder is I keep this card paid off and LOCKED and yet these charges go through. I logged into seller central to see the cards I HAVE given them before and both expired in 2020.
I emailed amazon support multiple times to cancel so I no longer incur fees and they refuse until I pay the balance. Since they don’t have a telephone support # (or not one I can find) I simply get canned emails from people that don’t live in the US and don’t seem to read or understand what i’m trying to say to them telling me I am not allowed to do what I’m requesting.
I file disputes on these charges and they wind up getting reversed but this is not the point. This feels like borderline harassment.
What the hell can I do to stop this?
