Any downsides to downgrading to individual plan vs closing account?

I was a seller for a while and built up a good reputation and my account is in good health (i.e. not deactivated by Amazon). I stopped selling last year because of Covid/shipping/cashflow issues but I may return to the platform later.

I just went to SC to close my account but, knowing how frustratingly infuriating Amazon can be with anything (everything?!) account-related, I got scared and downgraded to an individual account instead. Also, a quick Google search found multiple accounts of people having issues opening a new account later on.

If I don’t go back to selling on Amazon for a few years, is it preferable to downgrade to Individual, or just close altogether? I can’t think of any downsides to staying as individual long-term, but maybe some people here can? Appreciate any thoughts on this.
