can i hand deliver to local buyer?

I’ve just had an order through with an address that is only 2 minutes from our business. It feels wasteful and silly to pay for postage, package it up, drive considerably further away to take it to a parcel-drop store, and have the buyer wait 4-5 days for it to be delivered; when I could just deliver for free tomorrow and refund the postage fee.

However, is this allowed? Would I be penalised for this by amazon? I have a 100% “tracking supplied” record. Will this mess up my record? Will that have any knock-on effects?

I subscribe to amazon professional (though I’m not quite sure why lately) and fulfil all orders myself.
