can I repackage returned items and send them to a second buyer?

Hi,

I was offered the opportunity to repackage items for a textile company in China. The items are unwanted by the first buyer, and my duty will be to check that the items are in “good condition”, repackage them and ship them off. I was told I can use my garage to do this, and the products will be a few hundred a month supposedly… which seems physically impossible if not incredibly taxing for a regular person to do in his garage. Besides that, is this legit?
