Category approval experience
Just wondering if anyone has advice on how to proceed or if they have encountered anything like this before.
My account is in good standing with 0 defects and 2 years of selling on Amazon (FBA)
I applied to sell in the category of grocery and gourmet foods; provided all the requested documentation and photos.
I recieved an email stating I was declined to sell in kids & baby safety products.
Seeing this as an error I called seller support and was instructed to ask for clarification and a follow up in the case log. After 48hrs and no reply I called seller support again and was told to reapply.
I reapplied and got two emails at the exact same time regarding the approval request; one stating I was declined, the other saying congratulations I was approved.
I wasn’t able to list any items so I called seller support for clarification; I was told this would be escalated and I got two generic emails from the approval team saying you’ve been denied reapply; with no acknowledgement that the caselog for the second application actually says im approved.
I have no idea on how to proceed as a third application attempt seems pointless as I have no different documentation or photos and the seller support team told me when I called this evening that they don’t have an answer and can’t assist.
