Chinese seller trying to make me front return shipping cost

Am i crazy for not wanting to pay $350+ on return shipping for a set of car struts that are worth around $1,450 that come from a seller in china??? Im currently pressing them to give me a prepaid label or something but according to them shipping close to 100LB from south FL to cali is “not expensive” also my reason for returning is one of the struts is completely defective
