competitor reported my listing using a patent that is not in any way related to the product that they reported. should I appeal in person or should I hire a lawyer?
I sell containers on Amazon. One of my listings does around 400k a year in sales
A competitor used the brand registry to submit a complaint of patent violation. I looked up the patent and it’s not even closely related. It’s an ornamental patent for a jar of a different shape, size, volume… And the patent is for a child resistant container and the one they reported is not child resistant or use any similar closure.
I am about to send in an appeal but I’m wondering (given the high sales on this asin) of i should hire a professional firm vs doing this on my own.
