Connecting an existing sku to a new market
I own a company that sells a propolis spray on Amazon Japan, where the product is a category leader with a strong history and reviws, and is correctly listed and approved as a dietary supplement, fully compliant with local regulations.
I am now expanding to Amazon United States, but I am facing a structural issue with the listing.
In the past, I created a US Amazon listing that became linked to the same product/ASIN used in Japan (international linkage).
This US listing was blocked/suspended because the original title and description contained certain words and expressions that caused Amazon to classify the product as a drug/medication instead of a dietary supplement.
To clarify:
- The product is not a drug or medication,
- It is a dietary supplement,
- It makes no medical or disease-related claims,
- It does not claim to cure, treat, or prevent any disease,
- It is correctly listed and active on Amazon Japan.
Currently, because the US listing is blocked, Amazon does not allow edits to the title, bullet points, or description, which prevents me from removing the restricted wording and properly reclassifying the product as a dietary supplement.
In addition, I need specialized assistance to maintain or restore the linkage with Amazon Japan, as it is essential to preserve the existing product history already established in the Japanese marketplace.
Given this situation, I would like to confirm:
Is it possible to create a new Amazon US listing, fully compliant with US regulations, and still link it to the existing Amazon Japan product/ASIN in order to retain international product history?
I am seeking expert support to:
- Evaluate the feasibility of creating a new US listing linked to the Japan product,
- Fix, unlock, or replace the current US listing,
- Adjust or recreate the international ASIN linkage without losing reviw history
- Rewrite the listing content (title, bullet points, and description) to be fully compliant with Amazon US and FDA policies,
- Ensure the product is correctly classified as a Dietary Supplement,
- Prevent future suspensions related to restricted keywords or health claims.
