Corporate to Seller
I’m currently working a corporate job and always had the urge to attempt selling a private label product, with an emphasize on branding/marketing versus creating a new product (category) from scratch. My heart is set on premium design products (e.g. Furniture, chairs, tables, lamps, etc). To minimize risk, I’d like to start this as a side hussle before jumping into it and spending lots of time and money on a path I haven’t fully vetted before or seen first hand proof of being viable to dedicate all my time on and quit the corporate role. I’ve been spending my time on videos getting educated on every piece of the process. However, right now I’m slowly going into analysis paralysis, trying to know every detail (vs doing), and I keep hearing about how rough it is. I’ve got 3 questions for you all:
How profitable (or better return on time/money spent) has your Amazon Seller journey been? If you can go back, would you build it all yourself (from logo to storefront to website etc) or would you outsource it to bust through the starting phase? What’s your best resource you swear by if you can only choose one?
I appreciate this community. Thanks everyone, your posts are a wealth of information.
