Deduct COGS when Amazon loses items in FBA process?

Question… I keep track of each COGS for all items I sell on Amazon. In the event Amazon loses an item i.e. I send 5 in and they take one for themself and only count 4 during FBA checkin, am I allowed to deduct that lost inventory at the price I paid for it?
