Did I try to optimize my ads to soon? Any advice, encouragement or constructive criticism for a brand new seller would be appreciated!
Hey everyone! I am only one month old on amazon seller central and have been watching endless youtube videos on the correct way to create campaigns and optimize them. I started another automatic campaign (2nd campaign about 3 weeks in to my journey) and in the first week got between 17k impressions and 9 orders. I decided to negative target the good keywords and put them into a manual campaign with bids well over the high suggested bid. I did separate ad groups for keyword exact, phrase, and broad as well as a product targeting ad group. I also did a keyword scout on and grabbed some other keywords. Here are my metrics in the last 3 days since i started these. If anyone could tell me if these metrics seem to be good in the opinions of all you veteran sellers? Or if maybe i didn’t let my automatic campaign run for long enough before i negative targeted good keywords to put in my manual campaign, and negative targeted low performers to cut out all together. My worry is that i didn’t run the automatic long enough to have accurate metrics on all the keywords. Further, after negative targeting on automatic i have gotten very little impressions and orders since (which is expected to be the case i think)
Ad group Phrase: Started: 10/26, Impressions: 5100, Clicks:17, Orders: 0
Ad group Broad: Started: 10/26, Impressions: 12,000, Clicks: 71, Orders: 3
Ad group Exact: Started: 10/26 , Impressions: 4,000, Clicks: 15, Orders: 0
I just started manual product targeting last night so i guess im not expecting anything out of that one right now.
Should i have let my automatic go for longer since i was getting impressions clicks and a few orders? my acos was really high on the automatic campaign (150%ish) which i why i decided to go through and optimize it into manuals. Any advice, encouragement or constructive criticism would be amazing! Thank you to all who took the time to read this and respond!
