Do I need to request permission from smaller brands?

Hello, (very) new seller here. Do I need to request permission from brands/wholesale vendors to sell what I buy from them on Amazon?

I’m specializing in only 1 item, but buying from about 10 different vendors, and some brands of my item are big known brands, others are smaller and relatively unknown. I have direct vendor accounts with the smaller ones, and for the bigger name-brands they are coming from 3rd party wholesalers not the brand itself.
