Do I really need to run ads to make my first sale on Amazon⁉️

Hey guy! I am just starting out some metal wall art decor stuff. I currently have only 1 product which is pretty unique and cannot be found on Amazon in my country yet. I have uploaded the product and waiting for my first sale. That brings us to this question, do I really need to run ads on Amazon? Or should I just wait. What’s the best way to start out guys⁉️
