Do Sea ship orders from Alibaba manufacturer sometime come on desperate days?

I’m very new to Amazon selling. I received my first product shipment today from my manufacturer, but not all the product was there. I messaged the manufacturer asking, but I don’t expect a reply till tomorrow. For you more experienced Amazon sellers, do you sometimes get your shipments separately? I ordered 150 items. 2 separate similar products from the same manufacturer. I ordered a 100 of one product and 50 of the other. I got 44 of the 100 and 20 of the 50. Should I be concerned or just wait a couple more days. The manufacturer said it would be delivered July 3. It’s only July 2nd just for reference. How long would you wait to take some sort of action? If I need to take action what are some of my options. Also I understand that there is always a price to doing business, should I take a hit. It would be one thing if I was only missing 2 or 3, but that loss can really cut into my bottom line. Thank you for any help you can give.
