Experiences with hired CEO for Amazon company

Hi everyone,so I have a bit of an unusual situation. I have a home decoration brand that is successful in Europe, pulling in 7 figure revenue yearly across the EU marketplaces. This year, I want to expand business to the US.

Tax wise the most advantageous thing would be to found a US based LLC and hire a US based CEO, who I would run operations with. Obviously this requires a huge degree of trust between me and that person. While they don’t need to be highly skilled (as i know well how to run a Amazon Store) they would need to obviously be involved in the business to some extend. I wouldn’t want to relinquish control completely, so a really tight cooperation would be needed.

Do any of you think an arrangement like this could work? Am I too naive thinking its possible to find someone for this kind of position? Or is there something I’m missing entirely? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
