Expired items being returned, when they are not expired

Anyone know a reason why a grocery bundle I create would be marked as expired? When it is clearly not, the item has 1+ years of self life still available.

Should I include the expire date on the outside packaging? I’ve done this but only list the month and year, and I create an ASIN label with it on there.

Or are the AMZ employees just dumb and don’t know how to inventory my item.
