FBA VS FBM – can’t decide

Hi guys, going to start Amazon business soon. I’m planning to start with FBM and focus on building and growing it more and start having regular sales and then transition to FBA. This will avoid more Amazon fees too. I want to focus on good products and advertisement in the beginning.

Here is my question: Does Amazon prefer sellers who are FBA more and recommend to buyers?
