So here is the details:
If you use FBM – meaning ship yourself, you might be using Amazon’s shipping templates, like Weight based + per order shipping template.
And if you set up your shipping template so that lets say it gives these costs:
1 unit = 20€
2 units = 30€
3 units = 35€
4 units = 37€
And so on… it somehow messes up Featured offer’s algorithm, and at some point it takes 20+ unit order, and decides that price should be cheaper, as you sell it for cheaper now, and the price now doesnt match for offer price, so you loose featred offer.
To get featured offer back, you have to decrease the price and see when you get back the featred offer, and then slowely increase it back. It sucks, I know. Amazon wont listen to me when I try to report it.
This also could be Amazons attempt to force FBM sellers into more expensive FBA. Amazon FBA is still too expensive and can not compete with negotiated courrier pricing if orders usually have multiple units.
