Gated from Used Books (Canada, New Account)

Hi all!

I am looking for any input that anyone might have regarding the Used Books business, and sending your inventory to FBA.

​

Here’s what did:

– Read online articles like https://sell.amazon.com/learn/how-to-sell-books –> which tells you to buy books at thrift stores and send them to fba

– I went to thrift stores, bought a ton of used books

– Started creating listings, after a certain point, the system did not let me create more listings (about 50)

– After this, the system gated me from all books, and also blocked me from sending inventory to Fba.

After reaching out to AMZ several times, I always get the same feedback:

“We are not currently accepting new offers for those listings for the time being. Please note that these restrictions are often temporary and if you would still like to sell those books, we encourage you to check on the ASINs periodically. “

So, Amazon allowed me to create listings, and only gated me after I made them… my seller account is new.

​

Now, I would understand having a challenge of some sort, like produce more documents, or visit an office, etc. As it is, I have no way to add any inventory or sell anything, or do anything. Located in Canada.

Has anyone faced something similar and found a solution?

Sometimes I find an item that “requires approval”. When I request approval, it’s granted right away. But then, the item changes to “restricted” and I can’t actually add it. This is driving me nuts…
