Generic or branded ?

After investing countless days in research, I’ve found myself a bit burnt out, which led me to seek advice on Reddit. I want to sell my own manufactured items on Amazon FBA, yet I’m faced with the dilemma of not having a registered trademark or brand, nor possessing a business license. I’m torn between the strategy of testing the market with generic products or taking the leap to register my brand/trademark. Any tips to share?
