How can Print on demand with Amazon store possible work please?

I picked to sell hoodies, I checked to see that the average price competitors offer on Amazon is 35$
Product cost on printify/printful is $21-22, shipping about $8
total = $30

Even if I decide to tag my products 39$ (against the understanding of how pricing attracts customers)
amazon says will collect estimate fees 17% about 6.63
So I’m left with 32.3- 30 = $2.3
Taxes not yet included

This is even practically impossible. I’m really confused and thinking I might have made a mistake paying for the amazon professional seller thing. As I don’t know what else to sell thats profitable on amazon. I don’t have a very big capital to launch into proper FBA
