How do I provide an ASIN with my brand name for Brand Registry before I register a brand?

I’m trying register a new brand so I can create a new listing and get the Amazon Barcode to put on the product labels for printing.

We’ve registered the brand with the IPO, have the contract agreement, invoices, basically everything you need. However, one of the questions under Product Information says “Enter 1-3 ASINs that represent your brand. The brand name on the application should match the brand name on the ASIN.”

How can we enter 1-3 ASINs if the product is not yet on Amazon? And when I try to create it I am redirected to apply for a brand? Can I just select a category & leave the ASIN field brand?

NOTE: We are unable to create a new listing for a product that has a brand name without it being registered first.
