How is selling on Amazon for individuals?

My father is retired and wants to start flipping things he buys at yard sales. I tried setting him up with Ebay but they only allow him to list 5 things a month since he is a new account.

He asked if we can try Amazon. How is this platform compared to Ebay? Are you guys getting a lot more sales here than other platforms?
