I’ve read some people say “target 75-100 keywords!” while others say “focus on just a few main long-tail keywords!” Which method is the best method according to your thoughts? I am in limbo right now. Like targeting a lot of keywords make sense since it gives signals to Amazon about what kind of product I’m trying to sell, and also gives high relevancy. The down side is that the budget is spread thin. On the other hand, targeting a few main keywords can limit the amount of potential I have in targeting other keywords, but also strongly emphasizes and boosts the strength of the ads and I’ll have a somewhat strong budget to rely on.
What do you guys think? The internet has been so ambiguous in terms of what they think is best for the launch strategy 2022. My current plan is to focus on 3 Main Long-Tail Keywords, and to put all of those 3 keywords into broad, phrase, and exact campaigns. Is targeting only 3 keywords too little? Should I increase the amount of keywords I target even if it means spreading my budget thin? The current budget I’m thinking of for my launch strategy is $2000.
