I keep getting emails from Amazon I don’t understand. Can anyone tell me what they’re talking about?

Hi everyone. Long story short… I started selling on Amazon almost 20 years ago. I was never a volume seller. I basically just sold books and DVDs. It was a part-time thing with my s corporation and I had basically 100% feedback minus one person who had a problem with the mail.

Anyway over the years I basically for the most part stopped…aside from 10 active listings which are DVDs. But every week it seems I get new threatening emails.

First I got one saying that my prices were wrong so they removed half of my listings (they weren’t – They were the middle of the price pile for out of print collectible DVD sets).

Lately I keep getting emails as if I was the one who made the product pages? All I ever did was just search for the movie see the 30 other sellers and then just put mine as the lowest price or one of the lowest prices and just wait for it to sell.

I never created a product page I never did anything but list of condition I would just describe the product. It seems every week I get policy violation emails I don’t even know what for because I don’t even really have anything for sale.

Today’s email reads: Listings deactivates due to unauthorized Trademark use. We have taken this measure because we suspect your listing for this product infringes on the intellectual property of others. The product detail page for this product uses the protected trademark term of another rights owner.” What???? I didn’t create the product page. I don’t even know what item it’s for when I go through because I have nothing listed there currently for sale (I switched to eBay some time ago but these emails keep on coming).

Again to summarize… I get one of these a week. They claim it affects my account health and that I need to change the product details to not affect a trademark??? I don’t even know how to change product details. I never put up anything in terms of products. All I would do is just find the listing.. and add mine into the middle of the pack as a used item. I generally sold rare and out of print movies and first edition books… Like African Game Trails signed by Teddy Roosevelt.
