Incorrect Amazon Marketplace at Signup

Okay so I signed up to sell on Amazon on Tuesday via the UK website as I am in the UK and that is where my preferred market audience is. However I noticed that every time I log into my account it asks me to pick a merchant. But this has never given me the option of the UK only stores such as USA, Japan etc, so I raised this with Amazon at the same time as discussing verification times and have been told I’ve signed up to sell in North America – which I hadn’t, I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Just for info I definitely signed up via sellercentral.amazon.co.uk and was presented with the £25 a month fee which I accepted
