Incorrect Product Page Edits
Hello. I’m not an Amazon seller but have experience with eBay. I was trying to make some description/title corrections on Goodreads for an author I know. A lot were imported from Amazon so that makes two places that need to be revised. Most of the old novels are on the secondary market so nothing the publisher is interested in. Many of them were printed pre-2000s so a lot of the Amazon pages and errors are clearly from early days e-commerce booksellers.
I’d like to get some of the photos adjusted, ISBN fixed, various editions combined into the single title entity, and duplicates resolved. I’ve done these kinds of revisions on sites that have a “team” but Amazon seems to be such a behemoth like Facebook I doubt hardly anyone left on staff fiddles with that kind of stuff. Clearly all the customer service people I have chatted with are more on the customer purchase resolution side, nothing behind the curtain.
The report error button does nothing. The authors area is focused more on current self-publishing authors and their works and Kindle ebooks. I’m very stubborn and will keep trying but wondered if anyone knew any tricks for this kind of thing. I saw in a sellers forum that booksellers said since COVID times their previous strategies that worked no longer work to get edits through but I was wondering if anyone knew an email or contact window for something that worked.
I don’t mean any disrespect to sellers trying to get everything in shape for the holidays for minor issues and can hold off as to not clog the system. Why I’m interested in this tedious project without much obvious reward is I realized that what Google and Bing were primarily scraping for this author’s info box about 90% Wikipedia and Amazon so I would be a good learning experience to see if this could be fixed.
