Just Starting Out – Please Help

I started out recently selling books, and I’m actually losing money because the amazon fees are more expensive than what I’m asking. Part of it is because I have to do better choosing books to list. But also, I see a lot of other people selling at lower prices. Is it because they’re seller fulfilled? Any help is appreciated.
