Low cost items on Amazon

I’m a relatively new seller. I see quite a few items for sale for only a dollar or two. For instance a lipstick, a travel size q-tip packet, pocky sticks, etc.

I don’t understand these listings. Because if you factor in the fees and shipping, how do these sellers make money? Or are there different fees for low cost items that I’m not aware of? Can someone explain please?
