My First Cease and Desist (not really a big deal)
Selling on Amazon for 2yrs and have great Customer Service scores, have sold a lot of product and also have a loan w Amazon leading.
So I got approved in store with this non really well know shoe company. This particular Asin sold 3-4k units a month. So, I purchased 25 pair of these shoes that were on clearance just to test. I just listed them last week.
Well, that company threatened legal action if I did not remove all listings. I must also report to them all sales I’ve have had and what products I sold and still have. Well, my attorney said it’s nothing and they are just puffing there chest. What I’m doing is completely legal, but for the remaining 12 pair it’s not worth getting into it.
I got approved, why? I’m sure Amazon can’t track everything. I also understand it’s cheaper to have someone just send these letters out to sellers in order to try and control distribution.
Anyone else have this issue?
