Need Advice on Amazon Brand Registry – I’m an Authorized Reseller and Brand Doesn’t Have TM

I’ve had some serious listing issues this year which have massivly affected my sales and brand registry seems like the best option. The issue is I am not the brand owner, I am an authorized reseller and it does not appear the brand has a TM on their name or logo. Obviously I need to talk to them about this, but I am wondering if anyone has any experience with brand registry as an authorized reseller of an item rather than the TM owner and manufactuerer. How did you go about getting registered especially in regards to convincing the brand to allow you to register on Amazon.

Additionally if anyone has any information on what I can do considering I do not believe that they have a TM. This is an old school/craft company that makes great products but this also means I have to repackage all their items (their products do not come even close to Amz packaging standards) and got a GTIN exemption as they don’t use barcodes. What if they don’t want to apply for a TM…is that something I can do and add them to it? I want to do everything in good faith, but without Brand Registry it looks like I may lose a 20k+ a year business or at least have my sales cut down by quite a bit. I know my question is broad, but any advice or personal experience with a somewhat similar situation would be much apprecaited.
