New Amazon seller needs a little help from expert Amazon seller!

Hey guys,

So I’m new to Amazon and have been doing a lot of research the past few months, today I got my first handful of products listed and active. I have just under 3000 products and all should fall under generic branding..

I was able to gather ASIN codes to attach to existing listings for the majority of my products less say 500.. for those 500 I could only find “apply to sell” options. So for those I know I will need to create new listings and apply for GTIN exemption right?

Today for a couple of products I got this error –

“ We have identified that you are attempting to contribute to a restricted generic ASIN on which you have not contributed in the past, such as by trying to change the detail page create or update an offer. You must create a new ASIN by following the process as outlined in our Add a Product tool, to be able to make changes, such as extending this ASIN to a new store, creating a new variation relationship, updating ASIN attributes, or adding offers to sell the product. If you are using inventory file templates, provide the Batch ID of the inventory file process report. For more information, go to https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/G84H3T69ZX762NWT Amazon’s Generic”

The ASIN I had collected for this clearly had the “sell this product “ option so I’m not sure why I got this because there nothing much different about this product than the majorly of the others .. any ideas why?

Also today on some listings I have a “search suppressed” message . These listings asked for some description. A we it had an odd message about it not being too specific to the item, I didn’t really understand that, but anyway I didn’t expect this from listings I was connecting to, I though that would only happen for new listings.. is the reason for this because they are old listings or something?

.. is there anyway in the seller dashboard to apply volume pricing to all products at once ? Or does this need to be done only one by one or via bull upload ?

Also, any tips for filtering trough large amount of products to easily change the shipping profiles on certain types of products .

And last question, if you connect to an existing ASIN can original lister close or delete that listing?
