New seller need help deciding between FBA or FBM

Background info:
– VERY niche children’s books (bilingual books so a very small segment)
– I am printing them myself and they will be ready to ship
– Not huge quantities so I can store myself

Based on this, what are the pros and cons of FBM? FBA takes more than half of the sales price (unless the calculator I used is wrong) and having printed in a smaller batch my profit margin is almost all gone to Amazon. Is FBM even worth it? Will it still get visibility in the listings if it’s FBM and worth it to go after finding boxes so I can ship myself?
