OTDR Protected Order did not have OTDR protection
We shipped an order FBM, SSA enabled shipping template, we shipped using “Amazon Buy Shipping”, selected an OTDR shipping method, and we shipped on time. The order has the “OTDR Protected” badge on it.
The shipment had a delivery delay. This dinged our metrics. I opened a case to have the “ding” removed. The response was that we didn’t have ‘Automatic Handling Time'(AHT) enabled. AHT has to do with shipping on time (which we did). OTDR has to do with protecting against shipping carrier issues (weather delay, late delivery, etc). Am I missing something? I know I can just enable AHT, but that’s not the point…
The reply from Amazon support copy/paste:
“Please note, you need to use all three of Amazon’s automated promise and order fulfillment tools that include Automated Handling Time (AHT), Shipping Settings Automation (SSA), and purchase an “OTDR Protected” shipping label through Amazon Buy Shipping to ship a package, then the OTDR metric will not be impacted by late deliveries.”
