Out of policy return auto-authorized by Amazon
Amazon customer service just authorized a return for and item that the customer has had for 50 days. My chat with customer service was basically useless. They said that in “certain circumstances” Amazon will authorize an out of policy return. When I asked what the circumstances were in this case they abruptly ended the chat.
The reason for the return was inaccurate website description. The product was larger than expected. The dimensions of the product are listed in imperial and metric units in both the product images and the bullets. Additionally, the product images show the item in a hand to give customers another way to judge the size.
My question is what are my options now since the customer has been given authorization to return the item? I am an FBM seller
1) Wait to see if they actually return the item and file a SAFE-T claim with Amazon?
2) Inform the customer that I will be issuing a restocking fee since this is beyond the return window.
3) ??
