Parent & Child Listing

So, I’ve never done a variation style listing before. If I create a parent listing with one child variation, can I add more variations to that parent at a later date?

For example, I manufacture coffee, which stock can typically can run out pretty quick. If I released a new coffee, can I add that variety on that listing same listing or I can’t add to an active listing?
