Question about logistics
Sorry if this is asked before, it seems like a problem first starters might face a lot.
I’m about to make my first product. It’s my own design. It’s a product that consists of 5 parts. I designed them to be easily stackable. My first batch of 500 can fit on a single pallet. I plan to have it shipped like that to Canada and receive it in my own location. There I’ll assemble and repack everything and then ship it to Amazon warehouse.
I feel like this way I save the most money on shipping from China to Canada, but I don’t have great shipping rates myself, and my product will get pretty big once assembled. (Probably 3 pallets for that first batch)
Would it be better to ship my china parts to a 3pl, lose some money on their service but get access to their better shipping rates?
I suppose my question is, when you buy parts insteads of finished product, what’s the best way to get it to an Amazon warehouse?
