Question about the SKU

When you input a custom sku, is that something the customer sees on their end? I usually create a sku to make it easy to read when setting up my repricing. So my sku will look like this… “1499-1999 pd3 niveahandcream4oz 2pk”. I’m just wondering if the customer will see that and possibly bitch about it if they see what my cost vs sale price is.
