Refund of VAT on ads invoices

Hi! Does anyone managed to get a refund of VAT charged on ads? I have now updated my VAT number on seller central so I don’t pay VAT anymore. But they charged VAT on previous invoices and my accountant says I need to get it back from amazon (I can not reclaim VAT on services). Ads Seller support says they can not refund it…
