Refund of VAT on Amazon fees for sole trader- in UK

Hi, I’m in the UK and have been told that I can reclaim all the VAT charged on Amazon fees as I am a sole trader and not VAT registered. Has anyone been through this process of a back reclaim and have Amazon stopped charging VAT going forward? TIA
