Request Brand Approval From Amazon When Invoice Doesn’t List Distributor Address
Hello all. I am a brand new seller. I have an Amazon Seller Account, but I have never listed a product, yet. I bought a sample of a product that I want to sell on Amazon. When the sample arrived, I saw that an invoice was not included in the package.
I tried creating a listing for the product on Amazon, and it says that I have to request approval to sell the product because of the brand name. I clicked on apply to Sell and one of the requirements is that I upload an invoice that, among other things, shows the name and address of the distributor.
The distributor does not include an invoice with their shipments, but I can download a PDF of the invoice generated by Ali Express. That PDF includes the name of the distributor, but not the address of the distributor. However, I found the company store on Ali Express, and there is a link for me to download a copy of their business license which includes the company name and address.
I started a chat with an Amazon representative and asked him if I upload the invoice and the business license if that would be sufficient for approval and he said No, which is probably the easy answer.
Is he correct? Should I demand from the Chinese distributor that they include a paper invoice and place my order and hope that the invoice is actually included with my order? I have to order at least 10 products from them to get approval.
