I don’t know how I feel about selling plants on Amazon. I have my certs and licenses as a nursery to ship to almost all U.S. states but recently they decided to take down like 50 listings to evaluate them for any violations. Plants are counted as a restrictive product on Amazon. Most of these listings have been up for months. As far as I know, non of my plants are noxious or toxic plants against USDA regs. 2-4 day wait time for their decision is making me uneasy.
I’m a rather small but quickly growing plant company. When I look at bigger companies, it seems like they have no issues at all and even do Amazon FBA or have their products fulfilled by Amazon themselves. How is this even possible with live plants? I’ve compared descriptions between their plants and mine, and I don’t see much difference. Is this a tactical way of getting smaller companies to not compete with the bigger ones on amazon? Like who reports the products to Amazon anyways.. or is it just done by bots?
My partner tells me it’s going ti be okay but mixing anxiety with Amazon also being one of the biggest marketplaces for income, still makes me uncomfortable. 🙁
