Return for “Used” Item

Hi Everyone,

We recently shipped out a product NIB that we received directly from the manufacturer. The customer has submitted a return request stating the item is used. Does anyone have any insights on how to go about this? I have the serial number of the exact product sent to the customer, and feel like it will not match when it comes back.
