Seeking Advice on LCL Shipping and Freight Forwarder for First Amazon Shipment
Hi everyone,
I recently received a letter of authorization from a Chinese factory to sell their products on Amazon North America. Since then, I’ve registered my seller account and am now preparing to place my first order.
The product is small, so one cubic meter (CBM) of inventory should be enough to cover several hundred units — plenty to get started. The factory only ships under FOB terms, which means I’ll need to handle all logistics on my end.
Given the shipment size, I’m leaning toward using LCL (Less than Container Load) by ocean freight. For those of you with experience in similar situations, do you think that’s a good starting point for a new seller?
Also, if anyone can recommend a reliable freight forwarder based in Shanghai who’s willing to work with just 1 CBM, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions!
