Seller fulfilled to Mexico
Selling on Amazon.com .Sold an item going to Juarez, Mexico. This is listed as the sale price including shipping:
Items total: MX$1,500.00
Shipping total: MX$451.65
Grand total: MX$1,951.65
(For reference 451.65 peso = 26.43 United States Dollar per Google)
Previously, I had sold the same item for:
Item subtotal:MX$3,000.00
Shipping total:MX$460.65
Item total:MX$3,460.65
I initially shipped the item with dimensions 13 x 15 x 5 and 4 pounds and was charged $34.11 and a second charge as an adjustment of $36.52 for a total shipping charge of $70.63. This was by DHL International.
The box may have been more like 16 x 16 x 6 at most and maybe not even that much. These are the listed dimensions on Amazon.co.mx:
Dimensiones del producto 38,1 x 32,51 x 10,16 cm; 907,18 g
and it fits very tightly in the box I used to ship it. I checked my shipping settings to see how much it should be charging and see, it doesn’t even list shipping to Mexico. The only shipping outside CONUS, AK, HI and PR are:
Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norfolk Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Christmas Island 10 – 20 Days $49.99 per order +
$2.50 per Lb
How is it getting these amounts for Mexican shipping? I also see on a Canada order for the same item:
Item subtotal:CA$110.00
Shipping total:CA$42.70
Item total:CA$152.70
(“42.7 Canadian Dollar equals 31.64 United States Dollar” per Google), not the $49.99 + $2.50/lb I have listed for Canada above.
