Selling to EU from Qatar – VAT Registration Question

Hey Reddit community, I’m based in Qatar and looking to sell goods/services to customers in the European Union. I’ve heard about VAT registration requirements, and I’m a bit confused. Do I need a VAT ID to sell in the EU, and how does it work for non-EU businesses? Anyone with similar experiences or insights? Thanks in advance!

I dont plan to sell a lot and I prefer to stay as individual seller in case I do need a VAT, where should I register my company? Qatar or in the EU (for tax benefits)
