Selling used items

Folks – has anybody had luck selling used electronics on amazon? My 2-decade medium has been eBay but I’m seeing some old collectibles like Sony minidisc players list on amazon for twice the price and only a single seller selling the item. I’m wondering why anybody will buy it at such a high amount and not compare to eBay as it’s a household name – thanks
