Should I list a generic product under existing listing?

Hello! I contacted a manufacturer of a product and received an approval to buy their product and sell online on Amazon. I’ve searched on Amazon and found that listing for this product already exists, only 1 person is selling it – it is generic/unbranded product. Should I join this already created listing or create my own generic listing? Thank you.
