Toys flagged when listed as Collectible
Since only a fully-owned Amazon subsidiary (i.e. Amazon Warehouse Deals) can list toys as “Used”, for years, I have listed damaged-box toys as Collectible, usually without incident. Most/all of my toys are out of production anyway.
Recently, I had a Barbie Passport Pink item flagged as ” Not as described – Different condition ” (which is explicitly listed on Mattel’s website as Discontinued) and a Monster High one from about 2015 (which isn’t listed as disco, but I know all MH items were discontinued in about 2018 other than a few special ones like the Twins from the Shining and more recently some rereleases.
But even with this my Performance showed Good but dropped to “At Risk” after a third on, also an MH one. They directed me to https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200339950 which states:
Collectible
Items listed as collectible must provide added value; for example, they must feature an autograph or be an out-of-print edition. Provide a detailed description of the collectible aspects that justify the special value.
So I thought I was supposed to edit the listing to show it is “Discontinued by Manufacturer” and then appeal, but that field no longer exists when editing these items
They also asked for evidence to support this in the appeal but not sure what to provide because they don’t want external links (not even to mfr’s website) and some of these aren’t listed there as disco anyway.
