US Business – Help with UK KYC Verification
We’ve had our seller account setup for close to a year in UK/EU, and are now being requested to complete KYC verification requirements. We’re going in circles and continue to get rejected and just want to see if we can get some clarity for what we need to submit as a US business.
The latest request is:
Why is this happening?
The By-laws that you provided did not confirm the required information.
What type of document do I need to provide?
— A document confirming each beneficial owner who owns more than 25% of the shares of the company. The document should include,
–> The full names of each beneficial owner with more than 25% of the shares.
–> The percentage of shares owned by each beneficial owner with more than 25% of the shares
.–> A signature by a legal representative of the company and must be dated within the past 12 months
We have submitted a common stock issuance document with all info stated above (however it does not contain the “percentage” of shares, but rather the number of shares). This is signed and dated by our designated “beneficial owner” in the account, who is a director for the company (we previously submitted a letter from the president stating that this director is entitled to act on behalf of the company and as beneficial owner).
Are they wanting to see that our designated beneficial owner/primary contact in the account owns an actual share % of the company? This is not the case, as this person is only a director (and granted to act on behalf of the company). The actual owners are not involved with the company operations or anything.
We’re just looking for any guidance or help here, as this is all completely different than what we have been required to submit to get through US verification.
Thank you!!
